Collection: Colombian Wildlife Portraits
A series of portraits depicting animals representative of Colombia’s wildlife. Each work presents the animal in a bust composition and three-quarter view, facing left, with a painterly treatment focused on its forms, textures, and expression.
The six pieces are created in acrylic on wood prepared with gesso. The square format and close-up composition of the head aim to give each animal a presence similar to that of a traditional portrait.
The series brings together species from different Colombian ecosystems, ranging from the Andean mountains and páramos to tropical forests and lowland regions.
Technique: Acrylic on wood prepared with gesso
