El pintor es autor de la reacreación iconográfica de la imagen de este personaje, paradigmático para la cultura hispanoamericana y para la literatura peruana. En esta escena el pintor lo representa en su adolescencia escuchando de sus ancestros incas la historia del glorioso imperio del incanato.
Born in Cuzco on June 4, 1890. He died in Lima on July 15, 1972. University study in the Faculty of Arts at the Universidad San Antonio Abad del Cuzco and then at the Faculty of Arts at the San Marcos University in Lima.
