Die UDSSR begann mit der Weltraumerforschung, die riesige Rakete A 1 startete 1957, und Sputnik 1 wurde der erste künstliche Satellit im All; Sputnik 2 brachte noch im selben Jahr den ersten Hund (die Laika) in den Orbit, 1961 startete mit Wostok 1 der erste Mann (der Juri) in eine Erdumlaufbahn, und die erste Frau (die Walentina) folgte sogleich 1963; im Jahr 1965 verließ ein Kosmonaut (der Alexej) einfach die Raumkapsel, namens Woschod 2, seelenruhig und fröhlich machte er den ersten Weltraum-Spaziergang, und nun hatte die USA genug: Genug gelitten am Prestige-Verlust im kalten Krieg! Nun ging es Schlag auf Schlag, das Projekt Apollo begann, und Apollo 1 kostete zwar noch drei heldenhafte Menschenleben (noch vor dem Start ins All), aber sonst lief alles nach Plan; im Jahr 1969 erreichte Apollo 11 den Mond, die dreistufige Trägerrakete Saturn V (5) gab der Kommandokapsel den nötigen Schub, und die Mondlandefähre (Eagle) brachte die ersten zwei Männer (mit Flagge) auf den staubigen Trabanten; doch 1972 war mit Apollo 17 schon wieder alles vorbei, denn die Einschaltquoten im TV (FS) gingen zurück, und bereits 1973 wurde als Ersatzprogramm die Raumstation Skylab als ein Himmelslabor installiert (sowie bald wieder abgebaut); die UDSSR errichtete im Jahr 1986 die Raumstation Mir (Friede), nachdem Saljut 6 zu klein wurde, und die USA sendete Raumsonden mit Menscheninformationen bis weit über das Sonnensystem hinaus, und noch heute (2010) werden ihre Signale empfangen, doch fremdartig wurden sie verändert…
