This rare original unique signed collection is represented to the public for the first time. It was kept since 1977 in a private collection of an italian maestro of sculpture and litografia Lentini Elio. The collection includes 18 original pastel drawings (22 × 16 cm each) by the Romanian modernist painter Magdalena Rădulescu (1902–1983), preserved in the original presentation hardcover book with the author's personal signature and the seal of an authorized association to confirm authenticity.
Magdalena Radulesku’s pastel works explore the delicate interplay between light, color, and emotion. Through subtle textures and soft hues, she captures fleeting moments of intimacy and reflection, inviting the viewer into a contemplative, almost poetic world. Her art balances abstraction and figuration, evoking feelings rather than depicting literal scenes, and emphasizing the sensitivity and depth of human perception.
This collection of 18 pastel works presents a cohesive exploration of human emotion and interaction. Each piece captures a unique character or intimate scene, rendered with delicate textures and subtle, harmonious colors. The figures vary from solitary contemplative individuals to gentle interactions between two or more characters, suggesting narratives of reflection, connection, and emotional nuance. Through her soft yet expressive strokes, Radulesku conveys the inner life of her subjects, allowing the viewer to feel their introspection, tenderness, or quiet strength. Together, the set forms a lyrical journey through human experience, emphasizing sensitivity, mood, and the fleeting beauty of everyday moments.
Magdalena Radulesku in 1977 presented these pastel works to her friend, an italian philosopher and writer Antonio Aniante, who later donated them to the young at that time sculptor Elio Lentini, who has grown to a welknown maestro of an Italian sculpture and litografia, a founder of Associazione Culturale Aniante Lentini. Now this Pastel Drawings Unique Original Set is represented to public at first time and can become a valuable property of some museum or an art lover and enthusiast. There's NO copy.
