Post-Alienation — Red Face in Blue

A solitary figure emerges from a luminous field of turquoise and cobalt blue. A red, featureless face anchors the composition, while yellow accents and dark, flowing lines interrupt the figure’s elongated silhouette. The body seems to merge with its surroundings, suspended between presence and disappearance.

Part of Gela Mikava’s Post-Alienation series, this original acrylic painting on cardboard explores identity and the uncertain boundary between a person and the space they inhabit. Expressive brushwork and layered colour leave the figure open to the viewer’s interpretation.

Artwork dimensions: 30 × 24.5 cm (height × width). Presented in a white frame, with overall framed dimensions of 46 × 40.5 cm (height × width). The frame is included, and the work is ready to hang.
