“ID” is the impulse and desire that seeks immediate satisfaction and pleasure.
“EGO” is the realistic part, which attempts to balance internal desires with the real limitations of the outside world.
“SUPEREGO” is when elements of society, culture, or the individual come into conflict and disagreement, producing a sense of internal struggle. If this conflict persists, it can affect the person's mental health, causing emotional problems such as anxiety or depression.
When we see the conflict in the picture, we can reflect on whether a similar conflict exists within us. Through meditation, journaling, and other methods, we can better understand our “ID,” our “EGO,” and our “SUPEREGO,” and thus achieve the goal of self-awareness. Self-awareness helps us better understand ourselves, manage internal conflicts, and improve our capacity for self-awareness and emotional management.
