Artwork details
The body I inhabit
A female body unfolds like an intimate landscape, where curves become mountains and the folds of the skin draw territories of light and shadow.
Among pinks, ochres and violets, the figure seems to rest in a suspended space, beyond time and beyond the gaze of others. The absence of a face blurs identity and invites us to recognise something universal: the experience of inhabiting our own body.
There is sensuality, but also silence. There is surrender, but above all freedom. The skin ceases to be a border and becomes memory, refuge and emotional territory.
The body is not only what we show the world, but the place where we keep everything we are.
