"In the beginning there was only darkness. From within Chiminiguaga, the universal creative essence, light emerged and became the first and only illumination. With this light, he created the universe, the stars, the lands, and the waters, all existing within the infinite night. To spread his light through the cosmos, Chiminiguaga created two great black birds, the tymanso, and sent them across space. As they flew, they released a radiant breath from their beaks, filling the universe with incandescent light. Thus, light and all things of the world came into being, bright and ordered as they are today, fulfilling the will of their creator."
