"Shelter Within" explores the instinct to retreat inward when the outside world becomes overwhelming. The curled figure becomes both a human body and an emotional landscape, suggesting vulnerability, introspection and the search for an inner refuge.
Intense blues, turquoise, crimson, yellow and warm orange create a strong chromatic tension between energy and stillness. The expressive brushwork and fragmented color dissolve the boundaries of the body, allowing the figure to emerge somewhere between abstraction and recognizable form.
The work speaks about solitude not as emptiness, but as a private space of protection, reflection and self-containment. "Shelter Within" invites the viewer to recognize that place within themselves.
