Artwork details
This fascinating coloured pencil drawing presents a breathtaking aerial view of a coral reef embedded in a deep blue ocean. The composition is in calming shades of blue and turquoise, creating a peaceful, meditative atmosphere. In the foreground, we see several coral reefs and sandbanks whose bright turquoise lagoons contrast strongly with the dark blue of the surrounding sea. The irregular shapes and curved lines of the reefs lend the picture a natural, organic aesthetic. The upper part of the picture shows a bright, cloudy sky. The soft, white cloud formations float gently above the seascape and reinforce the impression of vastness and tranquillity. Overall, this drawing conveys a feeling of peace and serenity. It invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the beauty and tranquillity of this remote seascape.
