This drawing shows an idyllic scene from the African savannah with three majestic giraffes. The composition is masterfully executed and captures the essence of Africa's wild beauty. In the centre is the large giraffe, which appears to be looking directly at the viewer. Its detailed fur pattern lends the animal depth and realism. To its right are two other giraffes, depicted slightly smaller, which creates an effect of depth. Dry grass can be seen in the foreground, while scattered trees can be seen in the middle ground. The background is dominated by mountains, which merge into a bright sky in the distance. Warm yellow and brown tones of the giraffes contrast gently with the green tones of the vegetation and the grey tones of the sky and mountains. Particularly impressive is the attention to detail with which the artist has captured the various textures - from the fur of the giraffes to the dry grass and the leaves of the trees.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
