Artwork details
This atmospheric coloured pencil drawing captures a breathtaking sunset by the sea. Vivid colours and gentle transitions create a fascinating evening mood. Violet and purple tones dominate, lending the picture a dreamlike, almost surreal atmosphere. Bright yellow clouds in the sky create a dramatic contrast to the setting sun. Delicate reflections of the sky on the surface of the water convey depth and tranquillity. With just a few strokes and a limited colour palette, the artist has succeeded in creating an intense atmosphere. The drawing invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the tranquillity and beauty of an extraordinary natural spectacle.
