This collage is one of three color variations of my ink drawing "Pixie" (2024). In this case, in raspberry tones.
Initially, the pixie was black and white, but I decided to liven up this monochrome.
Instead of a uniform white background, I put watercolor "Butterfly wings" (2024).
And the black color of the pixie's silhouette acquired a rich ultramarine tone.
Now he doesn't look so sad anymore. There are even more wings. And his flight is no longer perceived as a gesture of despair in an empty, unfriendly environment.
The lace of microscopic fibrils of the butterfly's and pixie's wings creates a sense of kinship between these creatures. What could be better than having the freedom
to do what your heart desires?
« For me repetition is boring, I am interested in everything all subjects, styles and mediums are there to be explored. »
