Fue un cantante, compositor y actor de cine nacionalizado argentino nacido en el siglo xix y fallecido en 1935. Es el más conocido representante del género en la historia del tango. Iniciador y máximo exponente del tango canción, fue uno de los intérpretes más importantes de la música popular mundial en la primera mitad del siglo xx por la calidad de su voz, por la cantidad de discos vendidos (como cantante y como compositor), por sus numerosas películas relacionadas con el tango y por su repercusión mundial.

Artist information

LAUTARO PLIERS born in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires on May 20, 1969. He studied art at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes "Manuel Belgrano" and perfected in the "Instituto Universitario Nacional de Arte" (IUNA). Practice while also working on murals and street art with artist Mary Marino and disciples of the maestro Ricardo Carpani.
