Artwork description

This collection brings together figurative vinyl paintings on cardboard, inspired by the visual language of classical art. With a personal and contemporary perspective, the works explore chiaroscuro, volume, and composition, drawing on the styles of the great masters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. These pieces pay homage to that tradition, utilizing a careful and naturalistic technique.

The vinyl used is the same as that typically applied to murals or large-format surfaces. In this case, however, the decision was made to reduce it to a smaller space, which completely changes the way the material is perceived: the lines become more restrained, and each texture gains prominence.
The work does not arise from a well-thought-out conceptual idea. Rather, it was a formal, almost spontaneous decision, in which the objects and shapes were chosen for their ability to coexist visually without being too strident.
