"Figure and Background "explores how a single point of tension can take over the entire field of perception. What begins as a localized disturbance gradually becomes the dominant structure, pushing everything else into the background.

The work invites a simple but unsettling question: is the figure actually growing, or is everything around it becoming harder to see? Recognizing this shift creates a possibility of restoring proportion — not by removing what demands attention, but by seeing what has disappeared from the field around it.
