In this series of paintings we choose to interpret the mystery of the obverse and reverse of a seashell, taking advantage of the interplay of brushstrokes in vinyl tempera and water on porous paper, which absorbs, dilutes, and holds the stain, a necessary accomplice in the creative process. We advance along this new path in our creative journey, and as we focus and frame, weighing textures and colors, the forms of the seashells are transmuted into new, exuberant forms that place us in a more ambiguous, suggestive, and undefined world.
