El lienzo está dominado por tonos fríos —azules, grises y blancos— que evocan el mar y el cielo, generando una sensación de profundidad y movimiento.
En el centro se destacan dos formas principales: una superior, en tonos amarillos, verdes y rojizos; y otra inferior, predominantemente roja con matices verdes y oscuros.
Ambas figuras parecen flotar o moverse sobre una superficie turbulenta, casi como si fueran fragmentos de una embarcación o velas desgarradas por la tempestad. La textura, formada por redes, es densa y rugosa, producto de una aplicación enérgica de la pintura, lo que aporta dramatismo y dinamismo a la escena.
