Filósofa griega (Alejandría, 350-íd., 415). Dotada de gran belleza y talento, consiguió levantar el espíritu decaído de aquella época. Se dedicó a la enseñanza de matemáticas, astronomía, filosofía y medicina en Alejandría. Defendía el racionalismo científico frente al cristianismo, lo cual provocó que la asesinaran.
