Calle oscura la llamaron durante el Siglo XII y XIX, en ella vivio y murió en 1909,Don José Antonio de Rojas. El afecto
y la generosidad que profesó a su pueblo natal, le valió para dar nombre a una de las calles más antiguas de Riogordo. En donde no faltó la posada ni la escuela, calle de carpinteros que sale al camino de Granada.
