Sargón de Akad, antiguo gobernante mesopotámico (reinó c. 2334-2279 a. C.), uno de los primeros grandes forjadores de imperios del mundo. Estableció la primera dinastía semítica de la región, que dejó una huella perdurable en la cultura mesopotámica, y fue considerado fundador de la tradición militar mesopotámica.
