Su historia como es lógico, camina de su mano, ya que aun siendo de muy pequeño cauce este rio, compartía momentos con lavanderas y niños del pueblo bañándose en él allá por los años cuarenta del siglo pasado, su recorrido camina por espacios de una belleza importante.
Durante su recorrido, riega las zonas de Gemigél, Gormaz y otros lugares.
