En ésta pintura se aprecia el famoso puente de U Bein, una estructura de madera que cruza sobre un extenso lago. El cielo está cubierto de nubes grises, transmitiendo un ambiente sereno y melancólico propio del amanecer. Sobre el puente se distinguen siluetas de personas, algunas en bicicleta, que avanzan entre los postes de madera envejecidos que sostienen la estructura. El agua refleja tonos azulados y marrones, en contraste con el cielo plomizo, acentuando la atmósfera tranquila y contemplativa de la escena.
