Artwork details

Here is the translation in English: This work belongs to the series “Floating Bodies”. Its name, “Flavia’s Flight”, is an octahedral tower of aluminum tubes made with prefabricated elements, such as stainless steel bars and joints and bicolor aluminum wings. The bicolor aluminum wings go upwards, producing a rotary turn as they ascend. They tell a story that is transformed as it rises, culminating in the opposite color to which it began. The work narrates the transformation of the soul as it rises. It hypnotizes those who look at it with its constant and subtle movement, creating changing patterns and shapes with each turn in its eternal flight. The octahedral tower is an impressive structure that rises towards the sky like a monument to human creativity and ingenuity. The aluminum tubes shine under the sun, reflecting light and creating an impressive visual effect. The stainless steel bars and joints provide a solid and resistant base for the structure, allowing the bicolor aluminum wings to rotate freely. My conceptual proposal refers to progression, which alludes to the ability of a set of elements to transform into a plot through geometrization and systematization, making possible the creation of a plastic language that allows addressing different topics. My work does not pretend to be a static object in time; it must evolve, allowing its morphological and conceptual transformation, such as its growth and decrease. The “Floating Bodies” series explores the idea of transformation and change through movement and color. Each work tells a unique story, narrating the journey of the soul towards its final destination. “Flavia’s Flight” is an impressive work that captures the essence of this series, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own transformation and evolution.
