Artwork details
The work presents itself as an exercise in geometric and material abstraction, in which the paper substrate takes on a profound tactile dimension. The composition is dominated by a grid of organic, angular blocks that float against an atmospheric backdrop of diffuse gray and charcoal tones, evoking a melancholic, suspended sense of space.
White contour lines—complemented by subtle accents of blue and sienna—both define and create tension within the geometric forms, imbuing the piece with an internal dynamism that avoids static rigidity.
"A White Place" succeeds in transforming the austerity of its formal elements into a visual refuge—a space of peace.
