Artwork details
My Work:
The General of Metal and Memory.
I am the creator of this sculptural bust (in relief).
In this piece, I sought to reinterpret the historical figure of General Francisco Morazán by synthesizing national memory, the art of assemblage, and environmental sustainability.

Concept and Artistic Description.
As an artist, my purpose with this work is to bring the legacy of this Central American hero into the 21st century, demonstrating how his ideals of unity and innovation continue to be reconstructed in the present day.
A metaphor for time and progress: By utilizing industrial waste, mechanical parts, and recycled components, I transform forgotten materials into the living structure of this national hero.
The integrated nuts, bolts, gears, and washers that form his facial features symbolize the foundations, the strength, and the machinery behind Morazán’s vision of integration.
Gaze and expression: I sculpted the gaze with expressive precision, using polished pieces that catch the light to create a firm, serene posture that evokes the leader’s determination.
Color palette and patina: I incorporated golden, coppery, and green tones, along with rust-like hues, beneath the surface—simulating the patina of time and reflecting the complexity of the historical battles and ideals he championed.
