Alienation — Pale Face in Blue

A pale, featureless face sits above a green chest passage within a blue figure. The surrounding blue changes tone across a horizontal division, and dark drips fall from the arms. A small number of contrasts gives the figure a distinct presence without turning it into a specific likeness.

An original work by Gela Mikava from the Alienation series, painted with acrylic and oil on fabric. The series explores human presence, anonymity and emotional distance.
