Este tondo de óleo sobre madera es una reinterpretación de un fragmento de la obra "Baco y Ariadna", de Sebastiano Ricci.

Se titula "Ignis Amoris",un tópico literario que dice que el amor se ve representado mediante un fuego interior. Un amor puro y verdadero, en el cual la llama nunca se apaga y por el que se daría todo, hasta el impensable abandono de la vida propia como sacrificio.
