"Ascetic Eves” invites the viewer into a contemplative space where nature’s resilience meets quiet transcendence. This mixed media painting layers earthy textures with spontaneous bursts of color, creating a tree that feels both rooted and ethereal. The background radiates with warm ochres and golds, while subtle blues and pinks anchor the composition. Dripped and dotted highlights seem to float like petals or evening stars, suggesting the sacred stillness of a twilight garden.
The surface holds a tactile quality, with sculptural textures and delicate detailing that reward close viewing. This piece explores themes of renewal, impermanence, and the beauty found in restraint.
My work is an exploration of color, texture, and movement—an intuitive dialogue between emotion and abstraction. Inspired by the fluidity of nature and the spontaneity of expression, I build layers of acrylic, letting each brushstroke guide the next. Light and depth play a crucial role in my process, creating a sense of energy and atmosphere that invites the viewer into the painting’s world.
