Artwork details
Multifaceted artist blurs the limits of abstraction and painting both in landscapes and in abstractions with oils or acrylics with very special techniques and materials on canvas.
By constructing narratives about the confluence of time and space, the artist paints in an effort to question notions of chaos and control, intention and intuition, randomness and order.
His mysterious and misty compositions are created through exposure and stain; His process is one of simultaneous creation and destruction.
Building the surface of the canvas layer by layer, each of ONTENIENTE PALET's images preserves vestiges of his unique stories and remains of his dynamic creation.
His painting depicts an atmospheric landscape in dark brown tones.
Faint hints of a river, trees, a mountain range emerge from the smoking layers of paint like ghostly ruins.
The artist suggests the image of a stormy sea without a clear horizon, the canvas floats between subtle abstraction and watery landscape.
Finally it becomes a complete abstraction with different opacities to create a scene.
