The Midnight Composer
Digital illustration that captures the moment when the city is already turned off and the song is not yet. A composer sits by the window with the electric guitar resting on her legs; at her feet, the coffee smokes, the alarm clock marks an uncomfortable hour and the scores are scattered as half-written ideas. In the background, a vintage jukebox illuminates the room with red, amber and green, warm counterpoint to the darkened skyline.
The piece mixes contemporary pin-up atmosphere with objects from another time: red boots, dark wood, neon of the device and coffee steam. It is not a complete portrait, but a fragment: the body, the instrument and the remains of a long session. He talks about nocturnal creation, urban rhythm and that mixture between waiting, desire and craft.
