Artwork details
There is a silence that is not absence. It is not what remains when the voices fade away—it is what appears when you stop filling the space with noise. A silence that has shape, that has weight, that has light upon its edges. A child knows this without anyone teaching her: she stands on the peak of a mountain, stretches her arm toward that which she cannot name, and reaches it. Not because she is brave—because she is pure. Intuition does not need to understand in order to act. The deepest silence is not suffered. It is inhabited.
The Silence appears when internal noise—opinions, justifications, the monologue that never stops—takes up the space of something that can only be heard when you quiet down. This is not a card of meditation or calm. It is the card of what appears when you stop filling the space.
