Artwork details
In the torn azure where shadows wander,
a woman rests, surrendered to reverie and silence.
Around her, colors clash like human passions: blue turns to melancholy, orange burns like an ancient desire, while black scatters the scars of the world here and there.
And yet, she remains motionless.
With eyes closed, she seems to have left the tumult of things to descend into herself—into that secret chamber of the soul where all noise fades away. Her nakedness is no longer merely physical; it becomes a stripping away, a surrender, a liberation.
Here is zenitude—the strange bliss of silence.
Not the innocence of a world without torment, but that almost insolent peace that blooms amidst the disorder. Around her, everything fractures; within her, everything grows calm. Blacks may claw at the canvas, blues lose themselves in mist, golds consume their final flames—yet she now belongs to that moment when desire itself consents to fall silent.
Her pale body slowly dissolves into the medium, like a memory within the scent of an abandoned room. Woman, cloud, apparition—who could tell them apart?
Then emerges that paradox cherished by melancholic souls: beauty is born of chaos, peace of surrender, and an inner light can spring from the very shadow itself.
Thus she rests between spleen and the ideal, where the world ceases, for a moment, to weigh upon the soul.
And perhaps zenitude is nothing more than this:
a fragment of eternity found amidst our storms.
