Compromised nature 5"

Sculptural, three-dimensional work.
Mixed technique: acrylics, recycled bottle caps and varnish.
With textures and large reliefs. Painted sides.
With the title I want to highlight the meanings of the adjective "committed" in relation to nature.
On the one hand, it means that it is in danger, at risk, in a pressing situation, that it is exposed, and on the sociological side it means commitment, that a responsibility is assumed, that a clear part is actively taken in its conservation.
The work recreates an organic abstract landscape, at the same time as an artificial ecosystem. It could be a plant world full of life, green and gold, resplendent. However, it is created with recycled inorganic waste, lifeless matter, which is a contradiction in itself. And this should challenge us.
