"Ocre Contour" - Abstract Figurative Portrait

Artwork details

This portrait, composed in a vertical format, focuses on the upper body and profile, where form takes shape through the balance of light and deep shadow. Earthy ochre, warm orange, and contrasting dark tones define the contours, creating an intimate and quiet presence. Built with layered color and open structure, the composition captures an atmospheric, contemplative mood.
I was inspired by the quiet interplay of intense light and shadow on the human form, capturing that brief, intimate moment when direct light sculpts the profile and reveals raw emotion through warm, earthy tones.
