The lightness of being - La levedad del ser

Poseemos una sabiduría innata que a veces se manifiesta, revelando la verdadera esencia de la vida: la ligereza del ser. Esta ligereza describe un estado de armonía con uno mismo y con el mundo que nos rodea.

En la pintura, explosiones de color aparecen casi como vida oculta bajo la superficie: azules empolvados, rosas suaves, toques de turquesa y marrones terrosos. Estos colores no son estridentes; parecen emerger suavemente a través de las capas, como si se revelaran con el tiempo. Las múltiples capas de acrílico crean profundidad y complejidad —algunas áreas están raspadas, otras superpuestas— dando la impresión del paso del tiempo, de nuestra vida.

The lightness of being: We possess an inherent wisdom that sometimes shines through, revealing the true essence of life as the lightness of being. The lightness of being describes a state of harmony with oneself and the world around us.

Within the painting bursts of color appear almost like hidden life beneath the surface: dusty blues, soft pinks, hints of turquoise, and earthy browns. These colors don’t shout; they seem to rise gently through the layers, as if revealed over time. The multiple layers of acrylic create depth and complexity—some areas are scraped back, others built up—giving the impression of time, our lifetime.

This painting has multi layers of acrylic paint on canvas making this work highly textural. The canvas is stretched over professionally made wooden stretcher bars.
The sides are painted so the art work is ready to hang.
