Artwork details
The central element of the artwork is the shape of a grapevine leaf, containing forms reminiscent of the wine-stained bases of cork stoppers. These forms blend and overlap, creating tonal nuances that can be interpreted as the nuances of the wine's color and flavor. Amidst the pores of the cork, two shapes appear that allude to the windmills of La Mancha. The background is divided into two halves: on the left, very dark brown textures evoke the earth and grapevine bark, while on the right—and within the leaf itself—we find textures featuring wine-colored hues. The entire piece is framed to accentuate the artwork.
