On the façade of the now-restored Hôtel Chappaz in Béziers (France), a caryatid clings to the wall, as if protecting it from the demolition that never came. Light slides across cool greys, leaving a silent melancholy: a suspended body, an intimate gesture, the weight of time. A scene of urban memory, where beauty seemed to fade, but thankfully endured.
