As properly pointed out by polish sociologist Zygmund Bauman we are submerged in a “liquid modernity” which main feature is CHANGE.
A society where nothing is certain, flowing and changing endlessly according to circumstances.
It is the time if uncertainty liquidity. A time in which new trends and situations are impossible to forecast (climate change, AI, migrations, power vs States, etc) and exponentially accelerated by technology.
We feel defenceless when facing the perspective of not being able to foresee how things might change in a few years.
The “liquid” concept help us understand the present time in which we are living, but not as a hopeless drama but as a long for developing our adjustment, improvisation and adventure capabilities.
