Esta obra muestra una escena marina en la que varias embarcaciones de vela latina canaria navegan en aguas tranquilas, bajo un cielo dramático lleno de nubes grises y pinceladas de tonos amarillos y azulados. La composición transmite tanto serenidad como la fuerza del entorno natural, con un horizonte difuminado donde mar y cielo se encuentran.
Las pequeñas velas blancas con detalles en rojo se destacan en contraste con la superficie oscura del mar, evocando una regata tradicional. La técnica, pastel, aporta suavidad y un efecto atmosférico muy característico.
