Alienation — Blue Face in Red

A blue face interrupts a pink figure against a saturated red field. Long black lines fall from the hands and divide the surrounding space, while blue and grey traces reappear in the lower body. Strong color contrasts bring immediacy to an image whose individual features remain absent.

An original work by Gela Mikava from the Alienation series, painted with acrylic and oil on fabric. The series explores human presence, anonymity and emotional distance.
