Alienation — Red Face, White Field

A red face and black hair stand out against a nearly white figure and background. Fine red vertical lines run beside the body, while grey and black gestures loosen the garment below. The limited palette makes the withheld facial features and the figure’s direct frontal presence especially clear.

An original work by Gela Mikava from the Alienation series, painted with acrylic and oil on fabric. The series explores human presence, anonymity and emotional distance.
