Our Father

An innocent body hangs suspended in mid-air, surrendered to its fate and bound by ropes. Surrounded by candlelight and the company of a white butterfly, it whispers a final plea to God in a fading voice. From the shadows of the window, a priest silently spies on the scene, subjected to a sinister device on his head that compels him to confess a sin he did not commit. Innocence suspended and faith martyred in a single chiaroscuro.
