the surrender of souls

"The Surrender of Souls" is a haunting visual exploration of transcendence, vulnerability, and surrender. Through a palette dominated by somber and earthy tones, the work constructs an atmosphere of distinctly existentialist undertones, where a line of anonymous silhouettes walks in silent procession. These figures, devoid of individuality and sculpted with organic lines, advance with serene resignation toward a column of zenithal light that pierces the gloom.

The use of texture and light contrast not only lends dynamism to the composition but also transforms the painting into a profound meditation on the transition between the earthly and the divine, inviting the viewer to confront the inevitability of fate from a lyrical and mystical perspective.
