"BEFORE BECOMING IMMORTAL"

"BEFORE BECOMING IMMORTAL"

Before the legend, the crowns, and the conquest of the world, there was a young woman who dared to be different.

In this collage, Madonna emerges among fragmented geometries and colours reminiscent of Pop Art and the aesthetics of the 1980s. Ochre celebrates her origins, blue embodies her freedom, and orange reflects the energy of her boundless ambition.

Her face appears again and again, foreshadowing the countless women she would reinvent herself to become.

Because long before becoming the Queen of Pop, Madonna had already decided that no one else would write her story.

The work originates from an analogue 35 mm photographic negative, acquired by the artist for her private collection and reinterpreted through artistic appropriation, digital composition, and AI-assisted post-production techniques.

The result establishes a dialogue between photographic memory and Contemporary Art, transforming an archival image into an entirely new visual experience.
