THE COLOURS OF ELTON

How many colours can a legend have?

Some artists perform songs. Others transform their very existence into a work of art.

Elton John belongs to the latter.

In The Colours of Elton, four versions of the same iconic figure coexist in a vibrant composition, as though each represented a different facet of his personality: the euphoria of magenta, the intensity of blue, the energy of yellow, and the timeless elegance of black and white.

Four gestures, four emotions, four ways of commanding a stage. Yet only one identity.

Through repetition, movement, and chromatic contrast, this artwork pays tribute to an icon who has transformed music, theatricality, and freedom of expression into a language entirely his own.

The work originates from an analogue 35 mm photographic negative, acquired by the artist for her private collection and reinterpreted through artistic appropriation, digital composition, and AI-assisted post-production techniques.

The result establishes a dialogue between photographic memory and contemporary Pop Art, transforming an archival image into an entirely new visual experience.
