Autumn Reflections

Created in 2020 by Vicent Penya-Roja, this oil painting on linen canvas—mounted on a wooden stretcher—is a poetic tribute to the stillness and fullness of the autumn landscape. The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Woodland mass and chromatic burst: The right side of the composition is dominated by a lush riverside grove; the treetops erupt in a radiant array of canary yellows, ochres, golds, and amber hues. The precision in rendering the branches and foliage reflects a technical execution that is both faithful and sensitive to the quality of autumn light.



Water and riverside reflections: At the base and along the left edge, a serene expanse of water acts as a natural mirror, reflecting dense tones of brown, copper, and burnt sienna. In the bottom right corner, shoots of lush green vegetation provide a fresh textural contrast where the land meets the water's edge.



Atmosphere and distance: Towards the left, the watercourse fades into a soft veil of mist—featuring shades of gray, blue, and ivory—creating an enveloping contrast between the fiery warmth of the grove and the serene, silent atmosphere of the surroundings.
