EL CORTE DEL PLÁTANO EN LA ISLA DE LA PALMA

A landscape of banana plantations on the coast of Fuencaliente, capturing a traditional, everyday scene on the island of La Palma—a place where the banana industry is a central part of life. This is a recurring theme for me; in fact, I have painted a similar piece in the past where both the cutter and the carrier were locals. This new work reflects how things have changed: both individuals are now from South America.
