Mirambel Houses

This detailed, realistic oil painting on wood captures a picturesque rural landscape featuring a cluster of rustic houses as its focal point. Arranged in a staggered formation toward the center-left, the dwellings are bathed in warm, direct sunlight that tints their stucco walls a soft mauve or pale pink, contrasting with their terracotta roofs and small, dark windows.

In the foreground, a field of golden stubble and dry grass stretches out under the sun, flanked by dense green scrub vegetation on the left. A white stucco retaining wall extends to the right, defining the area around the houses. Behind the dwellings, a dense, dark forest of lush trees forms a wall of foliage, creating a dramatic contrast between light and shadow. To the right, a clearing of bright green grass comes into view.

Visible brushwork adds texture, while the wooden surface lends a sense of rustic authenticity.
