Artwork details
Card N°11 · Spirit Level
The sky darkens not to announce your end, but so you stop looking outward. There is a moment when the light you sought on the horizon stops serving—it eclipses, it goes out, it goes away. And in that darkness, something that was inside you all along begins to shine. Not because it is new. Because at last it has nothing to compete with. The external sun eclipses so the internal sun can be seen.
The Awakening appears when what illuminated you from the outside has gone out. It is not the card of the arrival of something new—it is the card of what becomes visible when there is no external light competing. What you seek is no longer on the horizon. It is growing inside you, and the eclipse is what allows you to see it.
